QUEEN CREEK, Ariz. (July 9, 2016) New Mexico’s Rick Ziehl was the first man to the finish line on Saturday night with the Carlyle Tools ASCS Southwest Region, as the tour saw action at the Arizona Speedway in Queen Creek.
Rick’s second ASCS Southwest victory of 2016, the win is Ziehl’s 28th overall with the series.
With 21 drivers on hand, the Lucas Oil No. 20z gridded the field seventh while Jesse Baker took off to the lead from the pole. Losing the spot on Lap 3, Arizona’s Alex Pettas went in search of gold but would come up short as the No. 2 machine rolled to a stop on Lap 22.

Bob Ream, Jr. crossed sixth, followed by Kaylen Verville, Billy Chester, Jeff Slinkard, and Darrel Sickles. Ted Williams and the Bandit Racing Team put up a $75 bonus to the night’s Hard Charger with Kaylene Verville taking the extra cash.
