Nate Mills is heading into the final month of 305 racing at the Iowa State Fair Speedway sitting 7th in points.
With ten career starts heading into the month of July, Nate has racked up one top 5 finish and five top 10's.
His latest result was a podium finish of third, which he's looking to use that momentum for the last three races.
Nate finds himself competing in his Micro Sprint when he's not racing the Sprint Car.
On April 23rd, Nate jumped into the Micro Sprint at Brooklyn Raceway for a non-wing event and had no problem picking up where he left off. Last year he ended the season with a win at Warren County Speedway and coming up just six points shy of the championship. On his first micro race of the 2016 season, April 23rd, he drove from fifth to pick up his first win of the season.
Nate's made three Micro Sprint starts at Brooklyn Raceway this season, including two non-wing events. He's also made a non-wing event start at Warren County Speedway in 2016.
May 14th, Nate found himself starting deep in the field at Warren County Speedway. After an 11th place start, he worked his way up to the lead until he faced mechanical failures with one lap to go, he would then finish 4th.
With fourth of July weekend off in the Sprint Car, Nate made two appearances at Brooklyn Raceway.
On Friday, July 1st, Nate racked up another top five finish with a fourth place run.
Sunday, July 3rd, he returned to Brooklyn with the wing off. He found himself on the podium with a third place finish after starting sixth.
Nate is looking forward to the final three races now after the team finally has the ball rolling.
His next event will be in the 305 RaceSaver at the Iowa State Fair Speedway on Friday, July 7th.
