TULSA, Okla. (April 18, 2016) For the second time in 2016, the Carlyle Tools ASCS Southwest Region will take on the high-banks of the Central Arizona Speedway in Casa Grande, Ariz. on Saturday, April 23. The weekend will also be a double-dip show for Sprint Car fans as the NAPA Non-Wing Series will also be in action.
Round seven on the 2016 lineup, the series began their ninth year of competition atop the clay of the Central Arizona Speedway on February 27 with Logan Forler picking up the win to become the fifth different winner in ASCS competition at the three-eighths mile oval since the series debuted in 2013.
Extending his points lead to 21, Rick Ziehl continues his quest for his ninth consecutive Carlyle Tools ASCS Southwest Region Championship. Hot on the New Mexico veteran’s heels is Arizona's Bob Ream, Jr. with Colton Hardy third. After leading the points earlier this season, mechanical gremlins have pushed the No. 75x of J.T. Imperial to fourth with Lance Norick advancing to fifth from ninth in standings following his victory this past Saturday at the Canyon Speedway Park.
Casey Buckman holds sixth with Wes Wofford, Jeremy McCune, James Aragon, and Logan Forler completing the top-ten in driver standings.
Saturday, April 23 at the Central Arizona Speedway will get underway at 7:00 P.M. (MT). Along with the two divisions of Sprint Cars, the Sport Mods, Pure Stocks, and Bombers will also be in action. Admission is $15 for adults with seniors only $12 at the front gate. Kids 11 and under are admitted free of charge into the grandstands.
