Inside Line Promotions – CLAY, N.Y. (Oct. 27, 2015) – Joe Trenca is down to only one race remaining this season.
The Mucci Motorsports driver will wrap up his season on Nov. 14 at Susquehanna Speedway Park in Newberrytown, Pa., which will also be his first race in a month after rain has cancelled several recent events.
“We’d like to be racing, but the schedule and rainouts have allowed us to be about 10 times ahead for 2016 than we’ve been the last few years,” he said. “We’re already putting cars together. We’re in 2016 mode getting cars and motors together.”
Trenca said he is currently focused on increasing the team’s inventory as Mucci Motorsports will shift its focus in 2016 to 410ci competition.
“Next year we’re planning to run the opposite schedule of this year with mainly 410 stuff,” he said. “We’re preparing for an earlier start of the season. We’re planning on running at Williams Grove Speedway (in Mechanicsburg, Pa.), at Lincoln Speedway (in Abbottstown, Pa.) and at Susquehanna Speedway Park a lot more next year. We’ll definitely run the Williams Grove opener. This will be the first time we’ve started that early. We’re normally starting in April, but we’re going to do a lot more 410 stuff next year so that opens up earlier opportunities.”
Trenca had been slated to compete with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series last Sunday at Weedsport Speedway in Weedsport, N.Y., but the event was cancelled because of wet weather.
