What seemed to be an up and down season for the Martin Motorsports team ended this weekend with a DNF at Lone Star Speedway in Kilgore, TX. Caleb Martin was running a solid 3rd in qualifying position in the heat race aboard his Omron Oilfield Maxim Chassis when the motor started to "lay down". Caleb pulled the #51 in on the last lap to salvage what was left of the motor.
"This is not the way we wanted to end the season especially with a little confidence after a 21st to 11th last weekend at Timberline. I guess if the motor is going to go, this is the time to fix it over the winter."
The team ended up with one 305 win this season at Gator Motorplex with a number of top 5 and top 10 ASCS Gulf South finishes.
"We finally started getting the car to handle real good and building some confidence. I'm not ready for the season to end! We will do some homework in the off season and plan to bounce back for the 2016 season strong."
Martin Motorsports would like to thank Omron Oilfield, Stran Technologies, Texan Powder Coating, Maxim Chassis, Kaedings Performance, Simpson Race Products, and HRP Products for their support this season!
