Ryan Timms' Labor Day weekend kicked off on Friday with a return to Huset's Speedway (Brandon, S.D.) piloting the Forbrook Motorsports No. 5 Sprint Car for the Huset's Hustle.
With 44 World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series entries on the grounds for the rescheduled event, Timms topped his time trial group before placing third in his heat race. Chasing a $25,000 payday in the Huset's Hustle A-Main, Ryan rolled to a fifth-place finish in the 25-lapper. He trailed Sheldon Haudenschild, Michael Kofoid, Emerson Axsom, and Garet Williamson to the checkers.
For the opening round of the Huset's High Bank Nationals on Saturday, Ryan's fifth-place heat finish pinned him on the eighth row for the preliminary feature. Moving forward four spots in the 35-lap affair, Timms notched an 11th-place finish.
Departing Huset's on Sunday and heading to Wisconsin, Timms invaded Angell Park Speedway (Sun Prairie, Wis.) for the two-day Firemen’s Nationals. Drawing 24 USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midget entries, Ryan followed up a heat race triumph with a sixth-place finish in 30-lap opener.
The Labor Day weekend wrapped up for Ryan Timms on Monday with a seventh-to-fourth run in the 30-lap Firemen's Nationals finale.
Ryan remains in third in the latest USAC Midget National Championship point standings.
