Merrill, MI – The Great Lakes Super Sprints (GLSS) series is thrilled to announce an exciting new partnership with Michigan CAT and Ohio CAT, two of the largest and most successful equipment and power system dealerships in the region. This collaboration marks a significant milestone for both the series and the sponsors, as the two GLSS Sprint Divisions will now proudly bear the names of Michigan CAT and Ohio CAT in their respective states.
"We are incredibly grateful and excited to welcome Michigan CAT and Ohio CAT to the GLSS family," said Barry M. Marlow, Series Owner of the Great Lakes Super Sprints. "Their support represents not only a tremendous opportunity for our series but also a testament to the shared commitment to excellence and passion for motorsports."
The synergies of this new partnership are numerous, but the one that excites Marlow the most is it will allow GLSS to continue to offer local and regional racing opportunities for our drivers and teams. “It couldn’t have worked out better, “ says Marlow. “Michigan CAT Sprint Division will be the new north division and Ohio CAT Sprint Division will be the new south division!”
The GLSS Tour will include all races on the schedule, while the Michigan CAT Sprint Division will be only the Michigan races and the Ohio CAT Sprint Division will only be the Ohio races. This allows teams that don’t want to travel as much, but want to race 15-20 times to be part of a division and those teams that want to race 35-40 times can run with the Tour.
The relationships and partnerships being made within GLSS will pay dividends for our teams, sponsors, fans, tracks and the local towns we race in. Involving companies like Michigan CAT and Ohio Cat that are already invested and committed to the region will be a win/win situation down the road for everyone involved!
“When we look at our customers, employees, and the construction industry in general, we see the hard-working people building the things around us every day, which live for the sense of accomplishment and competition. The love of power, speed, and the will to win are all the things they stand for and why racing is such a natural fit in their personal lives as a passion, whether it is as a spectator, track worker, or part of a race team. We look forward to this partnership and our role in helping support GLSS,” said Brian Schulz, VP of Product Support at Michigan CAT.
“Ohio CAT strives to be the top performing, dynamic industry leader and partner of choice for the products and solutions that help our customers build, improve, feed, power and protect our world. Ohio CAT’s Corporate Mission, as a sales and service enterprise, is to create exceptional value for our Customers and our

We promote a WINNING culture that is built on industry expertise, teamwork and integrity, a culture that attracts customers and earns their business. We are proud to be part of the Great Lakes Super Sprints team and grateful for the opportunity to contribute and share in everyone’s success.” Said Joe Coleman, VP of Product Support at Ohio CAT.
