Belleville, IL. (8/6/23) Rushing into the first weekend of August action with a four-pack of racing possibilities on the agenda, the POWRi Lightning Sprint Division would witness all regions completing the weekend competitions as entrants chase points in continually developing the National points picture. With a plethora of action offered, the northern dominance continues as the championship chase finds Dexter Dvergsten leading the youthful brother-sister Taves duo atop the leaderboards while running one-two-three in the standings as the fifteen-race-limiting threshold comes into play.
Feature action over the weekend would find the Minn-Kota area in action on Wednesday at Red River Valley with Jason Berg attaining his fifth career win. Saturday racing would find Stanley Kreisel gaining their fifteenth career feature win while racing at Nevada, Jason Woods earning his fifth career checkers with Rocky Mountain regionally racing at I-76, and Jeffery Dyer winning his second career feature within the Southwest series competition at Barona.
POWRi Lightning Sprint Nationals will be next with the Minn-Kota Lightning Sprints hosting the four days of competition beginning in North Dakota at Devils Lake Speedway and then on to River Cities Speedway followed by a trip into Minnesota with stops at Greenbush Race Park and finalizing the weekend at Buffalo River Speedway on August 10-13. Additional information including payout, format, and accommodations can be found on the Minn-Kota Lightning Sprints Facebook page.
