Bryan Hulbert – DRUMRIGHT, Okla. (May 9, 2023) A quick look through the rest of May and the 2023 season is ramping up as more ASCS Regional Tours begin their season. Overall, 21 events remain over the next three weekends across National and Regional lineups.
Looking to this coming weekend, the National Tour of the American Sprint Car Series heads for the “Show-Me State” with the tour debut at Electric City Speedway in Butler, Mo. on Friday, May 12, followed by the return to the high-banked Moberly Motorsports Park in Moberly, Mo. on Saturday, May 13. Both nights are co-sanctioned with the ASCS Warrior Region presented by Impact Signs, Awnings, and Wraps.
The ASCS Elite Non-Wing North Series starts their points season on Saturday, May 13, at El Paso County Raceway. Also on the Saturday card is the ASCS Southwest Region at Mohave Valley Raceway in Mohave Valley, Ariz.
Seven events across two nights, Friday, May 19, and Saturday, May 20, will see ASCS National take on the American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Sooner Region presented by Smiley’s Racing Products at the Walleye Rodeo Roundup at Longdale Speedway in Longdale, Okla. The Friday/Saturday run will also have two ASCS Regions kick off their seasons. Firstly, the Brodix ASCS Frontier Region will take on Big Sky Speedway in Billings, Mont., both nights, while the ASCS Northern Plains Region heads for Casper Speedway in Casper, Wyo.
Singled in on Saturday, May 20, the ASCS Elite Outlaw Sprints will try again to get their season off the ground at Lawton Speedway in Lawton, Okla. The originally scheduled opener at Rocket Raceway Park on May 6 was called off due to rain.
The unofficial start to summer, Memorial Day Weekend, will feature ten events from Friday, May 26, through Sunday, May 28. Starting with the tours going all three nights, ASCS National will face off against the ASCS Warrior Region presented by Impact Signs, Awnings, and Wraps again at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kan. on Friday, then head to Lake Ozark Speedway in Eldon, Mo. the next two nights.
Going the wingless route, the ASCS Elite Non-Wing Series presented by Abilene Powder Coating starts Friday, May 26, at Texarkana 67 Speedway in Texarkana, Ark., then Boothill Speedway in Greenwood, La. on Saturday, May 27, before wrapping up the weekend at Ark-La-Tex Speedway in Vivian, La. on Sunday, May 28.
Back to wings and racing Friday and Saturday during the holiday weekend, ASCS Southwest Region makes a long-awaited return to the newly re-opened Deuce of Clubs Thunder Raceway in Show Low, Ariz. The other and much older Electric City Speedway on the 2023 lineup sits just north of Great Falls, Mont., and will host the Brodix ASCS Frontier Region both nights.

The 2023 season will mark the 32nd year of competition for the American Sprint Car Series. Spearheaded by the American Sprint Car Series National Tour, the ASCS Nation includes Regional Tours that encompass both wing and non-wing competition.
