Gengo Racing travelled to Willis Texas to compete with the Lonestar 600's. After a long time outside of the car Hunter knew he had to get back in the hang of things. Gengo Racing finishes the 2017 season with a total of 26 races scheduled but only raced 17 due to cancellations and rain out's. Throughout the season Gengo Racing battled technical issues but fought through it and found a way to stay consistent with NOW 600's and the Lone star 600's. The Lonestar 600's presented by K&K Earthworks set to take on a new track. For the first time the Lonestar 600's will be going to I-37 Speedway. It was a sad day when Bronco Raceway Park closed its doors. As one of the main Lonestar 600's tracks it hurt. The night was delayed for 2 hours after only 2 heats for lightening, then a downpour. The Creek County Staff did a remarkable job getting the track back in shape to resume the nights program resulting in a very fast racing surface.
