Ryan Timms was one of 39 Sprint Cars entered at Lakeside Speedway (Kansas City, Kan.) over the weekend for the doubleheader Heartland of America Showdown with the High Limit Sprint Car Series.
Pinned on the 12th row for the opener via a fourth-place outing in his consolation race, Timms weaved through the field eight positions in the 25-lap opener to salvage a 16th-place finish.
On Saturday, Ryan squeezed into the $50,000-to-win finale with the fifth-and-final transfer spot in his heat. Wheeling his way into the top-10, Timms passed seven cars in the 30-lap affair to register a 10th-place outing.
